Background Information for Teachers
This teacher resource has been developed for teachers teaching a Year 2 class. By undertaking activities involving investigation, design, production and evaluation students will engage in processes that highlight both individual and societal needs. This resource aims to scaffold students learning through Key Ideas including Program Management, Thinking in Technologies, utilising Computational, Systems and Design Thinking. Through integrating aspects of Critical and Creative Thinking, Literacy, Numeracy, Information and Communication Technology and by addressing the General Capability area's of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority this resource will provide helpful information to assist you in developing practical, useable and engaging lessons for your students.
Please note although differentiations will have been provided within the unit plan each individual child and circumstance can vary greatly.
